Every year, Thanksgiving slows me down just enough to notice what’s been building beneath the surface. For some people, it’s excitement. For others, it’s exhaustion. And for a lot of high-achievers, it’s that familiar tug-of-war between wanting to rest and feeling like there’s still a mountain of things to finish before the year ends.
That’s why I decided to bring back one of the most downloaded episodes of The Kristi Jones Show. The message lands differently this year. This isn’t a holiday pep talk or a “go take a gratitude walk” kind of moment. This is your Thanksgiving reset. A grounded, honest look at what actually keeps you steady when life, work, and leadership feel heavy.
At the center of this reset are the 3 Power G’s: Gratitude, Growth, and Grit. Not as seasonal themes, but as a system you can carry with you into 2026.

Gratitude That Grounds You
There’s the pretty version of gratitude we’re used to seeing online, and then there’s the kind that actually pulls you back into yourself. I focus on the second.
Real gratitude isn’t about writing five things in a notebook. It’s about noticing what’s holding you up when you feel like you’re holding everything else together. It can shift your energy, your perspective, and your mood in a way that feels surprisingly tangible.
I share simple ideas like a gratitude jar or wall, but the biggest shift I’ve seen comes from one small action:
Text three people and tell them exactly why you appreciate them. It takes almost no time. It changes how you feel instantly.

Growth You Can Feel (Even When It’s Messy)
RELATED: The 3 Power G’s: Gratitude, Growth and Grit
Growth rarely shows up looking polished. Most of the time, it feels uncomfortable, confusing, and inconvenient.
I talk about my own growing pains as a teenager and how that same discomfort followed me into my career. Especially when AMG went from zero to ten properties almost overnight. That season stretched me in ways I didn’t see coming. Growth brought pressure, responsibility, and a level of self-trust I had to develop fast.
This matters for your Thanksgiving reset because: If your growth didn’t look pretty this year, that doesn’t mean you failed. It means you grew.
I walk you through how to identify your biggest growth moment of 2024; not the shiny one you’d post about, but the one that quietly shaped you.

Grit for the Real World
We glamorize grit, but real grit doesn’t always look inspiring.
Sometimes it’s stabilizing a portfolio in record time.
Sometimes it’s doing laundry after a long day.
Sometimes it’s showing up when the circumstances aren’t ideal.
Grit is the part of you that chooses to stay present and keep going.
I share a one-week grit challenge inside the episode that helps rebuild momentum before the year ends:
Choose one task you’ve been avoiding and finish it this week. Just one. It’s not about speed, It’s about rebuilding trust in yourself.

Your Thanksgiving Reset: Action Steps
If you want the 3 Power G’s to follow you past the holiday weekend, start here:

This episode isn’t just warm or inspirational. It’s a realistic reset button for anyone who wants to close the year with clarity and step into 2026 with steadiness, intention, and strength.
