Ever feel like life threw you off course and you just need a full week, or maybe a month to reset and get yourself together again? I’ve been there too. But honestly, you don’t need that much time. You just need one intentional day and a proven reset to get back on track.
This time of year, especially as we roll into Q4 and the holidays start creeping in, it’s easy to lose momentum. The pace picks up, distractions multiply, and suddenly your focus and energy feel scattered. But you can shift that today. I’m sharing my simple 3-step reset: Move, Breathe, Refocus. It’s the same formula I use when I feel drained, distracted, or disconnected from my goals and it works every single time.
Listen to the podcast here:
Step 1: Move: Reclaim Your Energy

Whenever I feel off balance, the first thing I do is move my body. You don’t need an hour-long workout or a gym membership. You just need to move. Take a walk, stretch, dance around your living room; anything that helps you release the tension sitting in your body.
Movement resets your energy faster than any motivational quote ever will. It’s about sending a signal to yourself that you’re not stuck. You’re capable of shifting how you feel right now. If you’ve been overwhelmed or caught in the cycle of “I’ll start tomorrow,” start with five minutes of movement today. It’s your first real reset to get back on track.

Step 2: Breathe: Clear the Mental Clutter

Next, breathe, and I mean really breathe. Not the shallow, distracted kind we do while multitasking; but intentional, grounding breaths that clear the mental fog.
When life feels chaotic, our minds start racing with every to-do list, deadline, and what-if. Taking a few minutes to breathe helps quiet that noise and brings clarity back into focus. I like to pair this with a few minutes of gratitude journaling; just jotting down what’s working instead of what’s not. It’s a small shift that opens the door for perspective and peace.
Step 3: Refocus: Reignite Your Momentum

Once your energy and mind are reset, it’s time to refocus. This is where you decide: what’s the one thing that will move you forward today?
Don’t overcomplicate it. You don’t need to fix everything at once. Just choose one priority and take action on it. The key to a reset to get back on track isn’t doing more; it’s doing what matters most, with intention. When I do this, I often realize I didn’t need a massive overhaul, just a pause to realign. Clarity always leads to momentum.
The Power of a One-Day Reset
You don’t need to wait for Monday, a new month, or a new year to start over. You can reset in one day. The beauty of this process is that it’s both simple and sustainable. Once you build the habit, you’ll find it easier to catch yourself before burnout or overwhelm take hold.
And if you want to go deeper, I’ve created something special to help you maintain this clarity and focus beyond just one day. It’s called The Flourishing & Focus Formula, a free resource designed to keep you aligned, grounded, and inspired week after week.
Because the truth is you don’t just need a reset. You need tools to help you rise.
Your Turn to Reset and Rise

So here’s my challenge to you: take one intentional day this week to reset to get back on track. Move your body, breathe deeply, refocus your energy, and then go. You’ll be amazed how quickly your mindset and motivation shift once you take that first small step.
Let’s finish this year strong, focused, and flourishing together.
